When we are frustrated as parents, we need to think how frustrated God must get at times!

Our Family

This picture was taken in December of 2001.  Brian and I celebrated our tenth anniversary on November 16, 2001.  We wonder where all of the time has gone.

At that time: Left to right: Brian II age 22, Josh age 21, Garrett age 16, and baby Lance age 15! After looking at this picture, it should be clear why our Chevy has a female name!

Christmas 2001

We will be the first to admit that raising a family with step parents, step children and step brothers is not easy for anyone.  We know that there is one thing that has helped our marriage remain strong and that is trusting in God and praying together daily!  It has not been easy, but we know that God has a plan for all of us!

  1. January 12, 2007 at 3:29 PM we welcomed Alexis Ann Heinrich.  She weighed 8.57 pounds and 191/2 inches long (the same length that her daddy Garrett was when he was born)!  We think she looks like Lindsey!  Mom and baby are home.

Here is a picture of Garrett at about the same age as Alexis is now!

Alexis is wearing her daddy's shirt!

On January 17, 2005  Lance and Kris were married.  Click here to see a few pictures of their special day!  Our granddaughter proclaimed that she was going to be the flower girl!  When I explained that she was going to go watch Uncle Lance and Kris' wedding and that she was going to be the flower girl in her Uncle Garrett's wedding on August 13, 2005.  She politely explained to me that she was being Uncle Lance's flower girl and that she is marrying Uncle Garrett in August!

On February 11, 2005 at 11:32AM we welcomed our second granddaughter

Hailey Alana.  Click here to see more pictures of her.

Happy 2nd Birthday Hailey!

On May 6, 2005 at 12:38PM we welcomed our third granddaughter, Dakota Jae.

Lance's awards (Outstanding Student, Academic (for 3.75 GPA or better, and Student Government) and graduation form Blackhawk Technical College

Toys that belong to the boys!

Lance's project is putting a 1956 body on to a late model frame.  He and Brian are working on making everything fit!

(Our friends have a good sense of humor)

Garrett's project is a 1980 Trans Am. This car is the combination of 5 or more Trans Ams! Everyone has been busy working on this project! The summer 0f 2003 it was taken down to bare metal.  The motor has been put in twice because freeze plugs had to be replaced.  It was painted and put back together the spring of 2004. The summer of 2004 it has gone to several shows and has brought home a few trophies and has got a lot of attention when people realize it belongs to a 19 year old!

Click on thumbnails of the finished car!  It has 2 different hoods.  which do you like?

Grandchildren and children are beautiful gifts God gives us!

This is our granddaughter Destiny at a car show with us in the summer of 2001.  If she got tired out from helping papa shine the wheels, there always was a shady place for her to nap!  Yes, that is the spare tire next to her!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, in 2003 Destiny can identify a 1955 Chevy from other cars.  She requests to ride in our 1955 Chevy often!  She informed us when she gets big she is going to drive a 1955 Chevy!  A purple one!  She still likes the trunk, but not for naps, but for shade on very hot days at car shows!
