Our Chevy This is Brianne! She is a 1955 2door sedan, Belair. Her life began 10 miles from where we currently live. She was bought here and driven to California. Someone traveled to California and bought her and brought her back to Beloit, WI in 1980. She was bought by someone else and eventually Brian ended up with her! There is a picture of how she looked when Brian first got her in the section called "Our Tract". When Brian and I met in 1991 she was on a rotisserie! The story of her restoration is included in Brian's testimony!
Under the hood you will find a 1960 348 Chevy. The 700-R4 transmission is out of a 1988 Camaro. The 12 bolt rear end is out of a 1971 Chevelle with 355 posi gears. The front disc breaks re out of a 1971 Monte Carlo, with mounting brackets from CCI. The 605 power steering is from a 1978 Malibu. The rims are from a 1971 Oldsmobile 442. The trim rings are from a 1971 Pontiac GTO. The center caps on the rims are from a 1988 Delta 88. It has an updated electrical system in it. The dark color is 1996 Ford Thistle found on vans and that year and later on Mustangs and Probes! The light color is 1996 Chrysler Lilac Pearl found on compact cars that year.
The painted bumpers were meant to be temporary until we had enough money to put on chrome ones. Once we put them on we changed our minds about putting chrome ones on her! The interior is a custom made interior. Seat belts were installed, even though they were not originally in this car!
The Christian fish symbol in the seats and embedded in the door were meant to be permanent!
The spring of 2003 we added this message on the back window!
